What To Expect

Our Location


Please arrive 5 minutes early.  When you schedule, you will have an opportunity to complete a Client Intake Form online to ensure that you receive the finest massage service(s). Please fill out this online Intake Form prior to your appointment. Because massage should not be performed under certain medical conditions, you will need to state all your known medical conditions and answer all questions honestly.  Then you and your therapist will discuss the desired outcome of your session.  Please always plan on an extra 10-15 minutes being added to your appointment due to a casual intake & non-rushed aftercare so that your on-table service time will not be compromised.   


Your massage session will take place in one of our two treatment rooms in Corvallis.  They are all warm, comfortable, safe, secure and quiet. Soft music will be played to help you relax. You will lie on a heated, extra wide, extra long, memory-foam table that is specially designed for your comfort.  Your therapist will be more than happy to make any changes to this environment so that you get the utmost out of your session.  Just ask!


Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, you should undress to your level of comfort once the therapist leaves the room.  You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed. But even then, if you request, the massage can be performed through a sheet.  


That perfect session may be very different from session to session depending on your needs. The specific techniques incorporated in any session always depend on what is most appropriate and effective for you. Often a combination of different techniques works well for successful results.


Our therapists will adjust pressure, temperature, and product used by your request. You may also request the therapist to work longer on some areas, shorter on others, or avoid any part. This is your time and we will accommodate your needs as much as possible. 


The massage/bodywork you will receive is provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension. Please inform the therapist at anytime so that the pressure and/or strokes may be adjusted to your level of comfort. Please feel free to ask any questions or comment before, during, or after the session.


Afterwards, mints and water will always be provided for you because drinking water helps rehydrate your body, which will help decrease after-treatment soreness if it exists. The therapist will then briefly go over their assessment if you wish. Payment is due at time of service and Cash, Visa/MasterCard/ American Express/ Discover  - Credit or Debit, 


Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes will be made available to you, if you wish.


At Hygge Massage Studio, we have strived to make a safe, warm and inviting place for you to relax. With every session specifically tailored to your needs, our number one concern is your comfort and satisfaction. We thank you for your patronage.  


Per Oregon Law, private areas will not be massaged under any circumstances. Requests for sexual activity will result in an immediate end to the massage session, with the original price charged, authorities will be contacted, and the client will not be rebooked.


We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. 



In an effort to maintain a healthy environment, we ask that if you are sick (which includes a cold, a fever, sore throat, a cough, stuffy nose, the flu etc.) or have the onset of symptoms of an illness that you reschedule your appointment. If you arrive for your appointment with symptoms of an illness, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. This is for your well being as well as the health of our therapists and clients.

Please wait until you have been well for at least a week before getting your massage. If you do need to cancel your appointment within our 24 hour cancellation requirement, please call or text us as soon as possible and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a time when you are feeling better.



If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact us within a minimum of 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment to avoid a cancellation fee of $40. Since we turn away other clients to hold your reservation, if you fail to show up for your scheduled appointment you will be charged the FULL PRICE of the originally scheduled session. Please be advised that you will be billed for that missed session and will be expected to pay for that missed session before scheduling another appointment. If late arrival is inevitable, please contact us immediately, your service(s) may be shortened in order to keep on schedule.  In special cases, and when our schedules will allow, we may be able to & will gladly accommodate a partial or full appointment.  Either way you will be responsible for the full fee of the original session. *Our office reserves the right to cancel your client/therapist relationship after two(2) No Show appointments.  We also reserve the right to not schedule you for any more massages if you No Show during your initial (first) appointment.
